The fighters also don't get much character building, and it's bogged down by exposition and lackluster backstories. The two fighters have a fun dynamic and the round turning into just a test of strength is a fun idea, but that really hurts the choreography potential this fight could've had. This round is the round where my opinion's changed the least. The death and win are also great, 7/10.Ģ.) Both fighters aren't given much characterization outside of being fight-hornyģ.) Fight is bogged down with a lot of early expositionġ.) The fight has a lot of tension as both fighters can one-shot the otherĢ.) The final clash is fantastic in both the manga and the animeĤ.) Lu Bu has a very good backstory and his army and Red Hare are also done very wellĥ.) Lu Bu's death is bittersweet and extremely gory The actual theme of the round itself is fine, it really gives Kojiro some time to shine as well as letting Poseidon pose a philosophical threat to Kojiro. Too much of the round is just Kojiro dodging and parrying Poseidon's strikes. I get that it's supposed to be "Power vs Technique", but Poseidon's moveset just didn't lead to interesting choreography. Sasaki Kojiro, a man who's trained his swordsmanship for centuries, is pitted up against a one-dimensional wall of stabs. I've seen this fight high on a lot of lists recently, and I'm not really sure why? The biggest problem I have is that the choreography is absolute garbage. 6.5/10.ġ.) The round's result is extremely predictable, it kills the tension a bitĢ.) Poseidon's characterization makes it incredibly hard to root for himģ.) Poseidon's backstory does little to embellish his characterĤ.) Poseidon's attacks become monotonous and boring halfway throughġ.) Kojiro is written very well and serves as a great underdogĢ.) Kojiro's scanning is the best human ability so farģ.) Poseidon's death is satisfying, humanity's first win is hype The character building is good though, and it allows the second part of the round to shine that much more. It's too much filler for the sake of filler, there's no point showing all of the cool stuff Zero can do if he's never going to touch Buddha to begin with. Zerofuku is made to look like a complete joke, every time he's built up and is about to unleash hell, Buddha immediately pops the tension like a balloon and kicks his ass. This is not a fight, this is a squash match. Not much to say that everyone hasn't said already. Now that Round 7 is over and I've mulled over some of the opinions I had the last time I made this post, here we go again.ġ.) Zerofuku performs so horribly it nearly kills his credibilityĢ.) Buddha avoiding Zerofuku goes on for way too longĢ.) Misery Cleaver and Six Realms Staff are cool weaponsĤ.) The enlightenment subplot running through this part is enjoyableĥ.) Buddha's betrayal is a great plot twist Make sure to include the source for any artwork that is not OC.Posts must have flairs relevant to the content they provide. Please refrain from repeatedly asking about this when there is already a known release pattern.
